Spaces are expanding for the reference fair of Italian agriculture
Hosted in Bari by one of its historic partners, FederUnacoma, the federation of agricultural machinery manufacturers, and in partnership with Fiera del Levante, Umbriafiere SpA presented the 55th edition of Agriumbria, which will take place at the Bastia Umbra exhibition center from 5 to 7 April 2024, one of the leading events for livestock farming linked to quality meats.
Many new features were presented during the launch: above all, the most long-awaited for years, the expansion of exhibition spaces, which, with the availability of the Fair's North Area, will grow significantly, creating new opportunities for exhibitions and events for livestock farming. "With great emotion and pride, we can finally say that the first step toward the long-awaited expansion of the fair has arrived and that it can already be put into practice from the 2024 edition of Agriumbria, using an entire area directly connected to the exhibition spaces," commented Umbriafiere President Stefano Ansideri. "This also means many more opportunities for exhibition growth in the livestock area, with outdoor surfaces available and the possibility of redistributing existing spaces for shows, competitions and conference areas."
Agriumbria will be present at Agrilevante until 8 October as technical partner for the exhibition of cattle, horses, sheep and poultry organized by FederUnacoma in collaboration with the Italian Breeders Association (AIA), its regional section ARA Puglia and the organizational structure of Umbriafiere. The Bari fair will feature more than 500 farm animals, representing the most prized native breeds: from the Gentile di Puglia sheep to the Italian Mediterranean Buffalo, from Limousine, Marchigiana, Maremmana, Podolica, Romagnola and Jersey cattle to Murgese and Haflinger horses, from the Italian heavy draft horse to the Martina Franca donkey, as well as other prized breeds that enrich Italy's livestock heritage.
"After all, one of Agriumbria's strengths is precisely the Italian Meat Hub title we have held for two years, through which we bring the values of Italian breeders around the country, also thanks to the strong collaboration with the Italian Breeders Association (AIA) and FederUnacoma. This is why we are increasingly focusing on the contribution of the livestock system, which is also fundamental to pursuing the broader communication goal of promoting the authentic excellences of the national agri-food sector," added Umbriafiere President Stefano Ansideri. Agriumbria was born from the successful intuition of Lodovico Maschiella, the creator of the agricultural event, and in 1969 the first "modern fair", the agriculture fair, was organized. Over the years, the Agriumbria Association was established, composed of institutions and trade associations, for the management and coordination of the fair. Today, after a long journey, Agriumbria, the National Exhibition of Agriculture, Livestock Farming and Food, represents a national point of reference for enhancing the agricultural sector and constitutes a moment of discussion and reflection on the prospects and future of agriculture.
